Carte blanche with Sophie Larivière
You are invited to participate to a virtual activity!
In this workshop, a few active participants will each submit a piece of music they like and want to work on with Sophie Larivière. They will play their selection (e.g., a sonata or concerto movement, or any one-movement work) either live on Zoom or through a recording. For each selection, Sophie will focus on one of these aspects:
- A history tidbit on the musical era or the composer
- Technical difficulties with the particular piece
- How to interpret the selected movement
- How to determine where to breathe within a musical phrase
- How to be musical and communicate it to the audience
It is possible to sign up as an Active Participant or a simple Spectator.
